We are lucky to have this opportunity afforded by Bobby Pall to appreciate and discuss an awe-inspiring topic – the incredible tapestry of culture, which serves as a profound human legacy.
Globally, societies have flourished, each with its unique customs, beliefs, and traditions that have been passed down through generations. It is through these cultural expressions that we truly understand and are reminded of who we are and where we come from. They serve as a bridge between the past, present and future.
Culture is not only a set of practices or rituals; it is the essence of our being. It encompasses the way we communicate, the food we eat, the music we dance to, and the stories we share. It is a powerful force that shapes our identity and connects us to our roots. That is why preserving and celebrating culture is of utmost importance and is one of the smartest and most urgent things to do.
In our fast-paced, ever-changing world, where borders are becoming increasingly blurred, the need to protect and safeguard our cultural heritage has become crucial. And art, particularly photography, has emerged as a beacon of hope in this endeavour.
